Certified B Corporation.
Camilleri Construction is a Certified B Corporation. That means we meet verified standards of social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability — and we are obliged, in our articles of association, to balance profit with our impact on people and planet.
What B Corp certification is
B Corp Certification is administered by B Lab, an independent non-profit. To qualify, a company must score at least 80 out of 200 on the B Impact Assessment — an audit of how the business treats its workers, community, environment, customers, and how it is governed. Certification is reviewed every three years and the bar rises each cycle.
What it means in practice
- Workers. Directly-employed tradespeople with fair pay, training and progression — not a chain of sub-subcontractors.
- Community. Local hiring and procurement in South Wales and the M4 corridor wherever practical; transparent dealings with insurers and clients.
- Environment. Measuring and reducing waste, energy and embodied carbon on every project, with reinstatement specifications that favour repair over replacement.
- Customers. Honest programmes, single point of accountability, and finishes inspected against published quality benchmarks.
- Governance. Mission locked into our articles of association — directors must consider the impact of decisions on all stakeholders, not just shareholders.
